About Referology

“Before returning to the advice side of financial planning in 2008, I spent eight years working for providers and, particularly, focusing on estate planning and pension sharing in divorce areas.

I was very aware that many of the financial advisers that I was dealing with were very keen to work with other professionals but did not know how to turn that enthusiasm into business.

Although I still have much to learn, I have worked on a methodology of how this can benefit both the adviser and their fellow professional.

I have worked in the financial advice/investment sector since 1993. I am a Chartered Financial Planner and, also, a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

I completed a Master’s degree (MSc) in Financial Planning and Business Management in 2013 and my dissertation, research and study was focused on the interaction between financial planners, solicitors and accountants.

I have been married to Mel for 27 years and have three children between the ages of 12 and 21. My pastimes include running, bee-keeping and watching as much sport as my wife will let me!”
